Graduate Assistant Coach

Summary:
The Graduate assistant coach is responsible for assisting the head coach with all activities of the designated program, including but not limited to, recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes, academic progress of student-athletes, competitive game strategy, budget management, and the program’s compliance with the University, Conference, and NCAA. Tuition (up to 18 credit hours per year) and monthly stipend provided.

Job Responsibilities:
● Promotes and facilitates student-athlete academic success; assists to manage and monitor academic and graduation
progress.
● Assists the head coach with the overall planning and execution of the intercollegiate athletic program.
● Assists in designing, developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies.
● Assists to recruit and retains student-athletes capable of academic and athletic success at the university.
● Participates in community activities and develops external relationships.
● Helps in coordinating team activities, such as practices, team workouts and other events.
● Completes all administrative responsibilities associated with the program in a timely manner.
● Helps to operate a program that is fiscally responsible and remains within the assigned budget parameters.
● Designs instructions for individual student athletes and for specific team needs.
● Ensures that their respective team upholds the standards and values of Saint Louis University.
● Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required.
