Full-Time Assistant Field Hockey Coach

Assistant Field Hockey Coach Washington College, an NCAA Division III member of the Centennial Conference, seeks qualified candidates for a Full-Time Assistant Field Hockey Coach. The successful candidate will report to the head coach and assist in all areas required to run a Division III program. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to recruiting, player development, coaching, and program operations. 

 

Recruiting

Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes. Will be responsible for: Maintaining recruiting database, providing player evaluations, create recruiting materials. The successful candidate will be creative, diligent, and excited about building relationships with high school athletes, clubs, and coaches. 

 

Player Development

Assist and lead both technical and tactical development sessions. Experience with video analysis preferred. Keep track of player stats and progress. Off the field- Implement Individual academic plans, and organize team events in the areas of Mental Health, DEI, Career Services, and Community Service.

 

Coaching

Assist with all game day and practice operations, including set-up and break-down, film, and in-game analysis. The successful candidate is excited about hockey and committed to their growth and learning. 

 

Program Operations

Maintain and healthy and positive social media presence, create program marketing materials, equipment purchasing and distribution, travel and recruiting logistics and planning, and other office work as assigned. 

  

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Playing and coaching experience required, preferably at the college level. Strong organizational, oral, written, teaching, and computer skills required. Advanced knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations preferred.
